Alberto Contador was sixth in the final time trial of the Tour de France 2071. The runner was “satisfied” with the last week he has done and leaves open his participation in the Vuelta.

“We were here, we had to make the time trial full. Obviously you do not have the motivation when you play the yellow jersey, but we have made a last effort and now it is time to rest,” justifies Contador. On the stage states that “I knew I had to make the most of the climb, I have made the final stretch because it was very windy, but I have been better and I am satisfied.”

“I’m happy because it’s true that yesterday I did not feel well, I did not do well, but I have been in the set of this last week of the Tour and that’s a good thing.” Despite the positive feelings, he has not yet decided whether to run the Vuelta a España: “It’s early to speak, the team has some plans since the beginning of the year, but we’ll see.”
